The Brazilian flag is green with a yellow diamond on the background, and on the diamond there is a blue circle with 27 white stars centered on the southern cross constellation and a central Portuguese motto Ordem e Progresso, meaning "order and progress." Brazil's flag is rectangular, with a ratio of 10.7.
Green represents the dense jungle that covers Brazil, and yellow represents the rich mineral resources.
