Overview

InPrint is the exhibition for industrial print technology and exclusively designed for this emerging and highly promising sector of the print industry. The show has become the key marketplace for state of the art functional, decorative and packaging printing in industrial production.

InPrint is characterised by offering high level expertise and unique, cutting edge technology, product launches and showcases from leading brands in the fields of industrial speciality, screen, digital, inkjet and 3D technology print solutions. Specialists from manufacturing come here to find customised, co-operatively designed system solutions in order to generate new possibilities and revenue in industrial production.

During the second edition of InPrint, that took place from 10-12 November 2015 at the Munich Trade Fair Centre, Germany, some 3,400 international visitors learned about cutting-edge technology, components and services in industrial print by liaising with a total of 145 exhibiting companies. Compared to the InPrint premiere show in 2014, the number of exhibitors and visitors, as well as the total net exhibition space of 5,500 m², have grown by one third.

Held alongside the show, more than 60 conference sessions presented a varied programme that was structured in line with the three focal points of the show and comprised overviews on industry developments and panel discussions as well as precise investigations of certain topics and Tech Talks.

With a proportion of 54%, the majority of the companies who exhibited at the show came from abroad. The list of 65 different visitor nationalities includes countries in North and South America, The Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australasia. Once more, there were a considerable proportion of decision makers among the visitors from various manufacturing industries, from the industrial printing sector and from traditional printing companies. The majority came from Executive Management or from Research & Development.

At present, industrial print is the third largest market for venture capital investment. The latest White Paper “What is the Future of Digital Industrial Print”, written by I.T. Strategies on behalf of InPrint, shows that industrial digital and inkjet printing continues to gain momentum with accelerated growth forecast of 36% (cumulative average) between 2014 and 2020.
