The Posidonia is an international shipping exhibition, which takes place every two years in Athens and which is the largest meeting place for the Greek shipping industry and international transportation experts. The fair offers direct access to the Greek fleet, but also to international industry leaders. National and international exhibitors show the latest innovations in the boat market and since 2014 also present spare parts, boat accessories and all services related to the boot sector. This extension of the exhibition gives her a new direction and offers visitors and exhibitors a huge potential for new contacts, additional business and sales. In addition, the Posidonia is more than just an exhibition. The accompanying program provides high-profile conferences, seminars and technical workshops with discussions and debates on topical issues, challenges and opportunities of the industry. The Posidonia games include the Posidonia Cup sailing regatta, the Posidonia golf tournament, the Posidonia Shipsoccer tournament and the Posidonia running event, with the aim of networking and of promoting the social mix.
On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 5 days of the fair, from 02. June to 06. June 2014, about 1843 exhibitors from 93 countries and 19421 visitors from 96 countries on the Posidonia in Athens.
